Artist statement
A visual storyteller driven by a passion for exploring culture, identity, and spirituality through
photography, drawing, and film. My work blends documentary observation with fine art
aesthetics, often reflecting the timeless, surreal, and sacred dimensions of everyday life. My
work is deeply rooted in India’s rich visual heritage while embracing modern storytelling
techniques, creating a bridge between the past and the present.

As of 2025, my journey across India has been driven purely by exploration. It is impossible to
grasp the diversity and ancient belief systems of this country without experiencing them
firsthand. Since childhood, I have had the privilege of traveling extensively with my family, which
allowed me to witness many facets of India from an early age. These formative journeys laid the
foundation for my decade-long exploration of this nation.
My journey into visual storytelling began with my introduction to fine arts. In 2012, I started my
bachelor’s degree, and from that point onward, my interest in India’s cultural and historical
richness deepened. I wanted to see and document everything this diverse land had to offer—its
architecture, landscapes, festivals, tribes, traditions, culture, and lifestyles—all through my own
eyes in this lifetime.

India is a land of unparalleled natural diversity, blessed with mountains, oceans, jungles, and
deserts, offering nearly every type of terrain. It is also considered the world’s oldest civilization,
dating back thousands of years—long before the emergence of any existing religion. This is the
land of Sanatan Dharma, home to more than a million gods and goddesses, and the birthplace
of spiritual traditions like Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism.
The work I share with you all is an example of my style, where I strive to capture the timeless
essence of lands and stories. My storytelling is driven by a passion for exploring cultural identity
and spirituality through photography. My work blends documentary observation with fine art
aesthetics, often reflecting the timeless, surreal, and sacred dimensions of everyday life.
